Today sees the release of the new a lazarus soul record, “No Flowers Grow in Cement Gardens.” Lovely to see glowing reviews in the Irish Times and Irish Independent as well as album of the month in Hotpress. You can buy it on vinyl or CD from independent record stores in Ireland or from Bandcamp online as well as all the usual streamers. It was a long old road, this one. I’ve been a mad fan of The The since my teens. A huge inspiration to my songwriting. Not many bands have a such a great run of classic albums. I adore these records, Soul Mining, Infected, Dusk, Naked Self but I particularly love Mind Bomb, my autumn album. I used to obsessively watch “The The Versus the World” & the “Infected” on VHS over & over. They were the band I most wanted to see live. I eventually got to see them in the Olympia in 2000 & the Iveagh Gardens, with my daughter, in 2018. They say 3 is a charm. Thanks to Singular Artists for making this happen..
